Gordon Ramsay 'almost causes nasty crash by failing to stop at red light' on bike ride

Gordon Ramsay has been accused of nearly causing a crash by failing to stop at a red light during a bike ride around Cornwall.

The celebrity telly chef, 53, was caught on camera by one angry local who claims he rode straight through a red light.

In the video footage, Ramsay is seen with a group of two other people when the incident happened on the road between Wadebridge and Trebetherick.

The group of three approach a junction with traffic lights and were indicated to stop, but it appears the chef continues to go straight through in the video clip.

A female cyclist waited at the lights as Ramsay and the other cyclist ignored all signs to stop, according to The Sun.

One eyewitness told the news outlet that he almost caused a "nasty accident" and branded the Hell's Kitchen star a "t**t".

They added: "A car was coming the other way who had to slam on his brakes."

Yesterday Gordon's representative spoke out to say the local's claims were untrue and that the incident "didn't happen".

However they declined to comment when Mirror Online contacted about the dashcam footage today.

The fiery chef wasn't too far from his lavish £4.4million holiday home when the event occurred, where he is self-isolating with family amid the pandemic.

After he had sailed through the red light, the furious local eventually caught up to him and happened to realise it was the famous chef.

Gordon was easily recognisable as he was dressed in a red and black Lycra outfit which he posed in just hours before for an Instagram snap.

His rule-break goes against the Road Traffic Act - which states everyone must stop for red lights, regardless of whether they are in a car or on a bike.
