Gordon Ramsay accused of 'ruining Christmas' after 'cooking Rudolf' in new recipe

Gordon Ramsay has supposedly ruined Christmas after he unveiled a new reindeer burger recipe, foodies claim.

The TV chef shocked fans by frying a slab of reindeer, smothering it with Gouda and serving it up in a soft roll.

He was in Finland working on his Ramsay Around the World series, where he globe-trots and rustles up local delicacies.

In a clip uploaded on social media, Ramsay, 54, said: "This is not just any burger, this is a reindeer burger.

"So forget the cuddly reindeer image of Christmas and think about a delicious protein that’s a staple here in Finland."

He later added: "That is a delicious reindeer burger."

But fans slammed the chef for eating Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, claiming he was ruining Christmas.

Taking to Twitter to vent, one person raged: "If Santa does not show up this year it will be all your FAULT!"

Another joked: "I had a reindeer burger years ago in Lapland.

"Told my son to watch out for the red bit (Rudolph's nose)."

A third blasted: "How’s Santa gonna deliver the presents if you're banging all his reindeer in burgers?"

But someone else put: "They look amazing, I will definitely try some different meats as patties in the future!" whilst one user agreed it "Looks amazing."

This isn't the first time that Gordon has kicked up a fuss for his foodie creations.

Previously, Gordon showed off his new "Onion Tatin Burger" - which features an apple basted bun, a slice of camembert, a gooey apple cider vinegar caramel sauce and a chuck and sirloin patty.

After whipping up the sauce, putting the puff pastry bun on to toast, forming the meat patty, and adding the all-important slice of cheese, it was time to assemble the burger.

A portion of chips was added to the dish and it was good to go.

But a number of his fans took issue with the size of the meat patty.

Take a look at it here.
