Gordon Hayward did something in Game 4 no Celtic has since 2010

Despite the up-and-down nature of 2018-19, multiple Celtics have had memorable performances throughout the season. Kyrie Irving has, of course, be the most dynamic of all, but with Gordon Hayward coming off the bench for the majority of the year, he’s carved himself into one of Boston’s better threats off the bench in recent memory. When he’s on his game, he looks like one of the franchise’s best reserves ever in a single season.

That was the case in Sunday’s 110-106 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 4. Hayward led the Celtics with 20 points while going 7-for-9 shooting. According to @Cetlics_Stats on Twitter, Hayward was the first Celtics reserve to have such a performance since Rasheed Wallace dropped 21 on 7 of 9 shooting against the Orlando Magic in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2010.

What a pair.
