Gordon, Gino and Fred fans 'devastated' over new highly-anticipated Go Greek series

Fans of iconic trio Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Siriex have been left gutted after learning of the ITV series' fate.

The Gordon, Gino & Fred Go Greek series sees the two chefs and the First Dates maître d'hôtel travel across countries in their RV testing out the culinary credentials of each one.

The new series kicked off in Crete, before the stars navigated their way to stunning Santorini. From there they will make their way to the party island of Mykonos before finishing their trip in the Greek capital Athens and the monasteries of Meteora.

However despite only kicking off on Monday (September 2), fans aren't best pleased as it turns out, there are only two episodes.

And it's safe to say fans are not happy.

One took to Twitter and said: "This is the best thing on tv you need to make more than 2/3."

Another said: "Can’t wait, but why only two episodes?"

A third agreed, adding: "I was hoping you were joking...so it really is just 2 episodes...are they each like 5 hours long??".

Many fans may be wondering why there are only two episodes. However it was revealed that Gordon, Gino, Fred and the rest of the crew were forced to stop production following an outbreak of Covid in Egypt while filming, according to Fred Sirieix.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly ahead of the return of the popular foodie travel series, he said: “We were in Egypt and had a bit of a Covid scare and it was a bit of a difficult situation so we had to come back.

“It was a bit of an emergency flight we had to take, sadly.”

Gordon, Gino & Fred Go Greek returns for its second and final instalment on Monday October 4 at 9pm.
