Gorbals street attack: Man attacked by thugs in late-night assault

A man was attacked by two thugs in a street in the Gorbals area of Glasgow late on Sunday night.

He was set upon by the pair in Apsley Place just before midnight – with one suspect given a fixed penalty ticket.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police attended after a report of a man being assaulted by two men at around 11:55pm on Apsley Place on 5 May. 

"There were no weapons involved and one man has been given a fixed penalty ticket.

"Enquiries are continuing."
