Gorbals convenience store to host their first community festival this week

A convenience store in the Gorbals area of Glasgow is doing its bit for the local community - by organising a festival.

Razzles Post Office on Old Rutherglen Road is hosting their own Gorbals Festival for people in the area to get involved in this coming Friday (July 12).

The community day, which takes place outside the store, will feature live music with performances from a dance group, a local rapper Paul 'Ridgey' Watson and Ciaran Heggarty from the Voice Kids 2018, along with goodie bag giveaways, live cooking and face painting.

With the owners having served the Gorbals area for over 40 years, it sounds like they will no better than anyone how to get the party started.

And being a stone's throw from TRNSMT at Glasgow Green, it sounds like it could be the perfect 'pre-party' to us!

The event kicks off at 3pm. For more info, head to the Facebook page here
