Goran Tomic was taken aback by the atmosphere generated by Hibs fans in the Europa Conference League first leg.
But the Rijeka manager reckons his side will dispatch the Hibees and make it to the play-off round of qualifying.
Jack Ross' side were on top throughout the tie but were held to a 1-1 draw – after Tomic won no friends in Leith by insisting his opponents were partial to a long ball.
He's given credit where it's due however by branding the atmosphere "extraordinary" despite Easter Road being only around 25 per cent full.
Tomic said: "It was extraordinary to play in such an atmosphere.
"Every player and manager in Europe would want to play in front of a crowd like that.
"When I heard there was only going to be around 5,000 fans in a stadium that holds 20,000 I thought it would be subdued, but who would have thought they could create an atmosphere like that.
"The stadium was typical of British clubs, the pitch was magnificent. It was just a pleasure to play in such an arena."
However, Tomic is adamant his side will finish the job at home, especially after they got a week to rest following the Croatian League's decision to postpone their game against Lokomotiva to give them a better chance of qualifying.
He pointed out: "Hibs are a good team. They have several high-quality players in their attack in particular.
"But we will prove we are a better side than them.
"We have had a lot of injuries recently and that's why we were pleased to not play this weekend. It gives us more time to recover.
"Hibs didn't surprise us at all. They played exactly as I said they would and we were able to neutralise their long balls and strength in the air.
"The result was good in Scotland, but it could have been even better."
