Google is finally rolling out its new “Try-On” feature in the U.S., which was first showcased at the I/O 2025 event. The tool allows you to virtually try on clothes directly from product listings across Google Search and Google Images.
To use it, you will have to tap on the “try it on” icon on a product listing, upload a full-length photo, and it will show a realistic preview of the item. Not only that, but the tool also allows you to scroll through previous tries, save your favorite looks, and share them with others.
Along with the Try-On tool, Google is also rolling out improvements to its price tracking feature. If you are in the U.S., then you can now set alerts for specific products based on their preferred size, color, and price. Once done, Google will notify you when the product matches the desired price.
Moreover, later this fall, the company is planning to introduce more AI-powered shopping experiences. According to the shared blog post, with the help of AI Mode, you will be able to search for outfit ideas or home decor inspiration using simple prompts. Google’s vision match technology will generate visual suggestions and link to related products from its Shopping Graph, which contains over 50 billion listings.
These updates come as Google continues to expand its AI offerings across products. Recently, the company launched Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite, a faster and lower-cost AI model for developers building real-time tools. It also introduced conversational image segmentation, allowing users to describe parts of an image in natural language to get relevant responses.
With the Try-On feature and improved shopping tools, Google is trying to make online shopping more practical and user-friendly. However, there’s no clarity on when these features will arrive in other regions. That said, I expect the rollout to happen soon.
