New Google Pixel Watch 4 leaks have emerged, and the most exciting reveal in my eyes is the addition of dual-frequency GPS to the upcoming watch.
The leaked images come from Evan Blass, who posted them on X, and they detail several new features, including a side-mounted charging dock, an impressive 40 hours of battery life on the larger 45mm model, and a 3,000 nit Actua 360 display.

Improved accuracy for outdoor workouts
The reason I’m excited for dual-frequency GPS is that it will improve the distance and speed/pace tracking for outdoor workouts like runs and bike rides.
Dual-frequency GPS is a standard feature on the best sports watches, and also included on top smartwatches like the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, and it will be a great addition to the Pixel Watch 4 for keen runners, hikers and cyclists.
Longer battery life and faster charging
The leak points to 30-hour battery life on the smaller 41mm Google Pixel Watch 4 and 40 hours on the 45mm model of the watch, a big jump on the 24 hours you get on both sizes of the Google Pixel Watch 3.
Furthermore, the leak suggests the new watches will offer 25% faster charging. Previous leaks have also indicated the new watches will charge from the side by standing in a cradle, to better serve as a tabletop clock.
Pixel Watch 4 coming 20 August?
Google is expected to launch several new devices at a Made By Google event on 20 August, including the Pixel 10 series of phones, including the Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The Pixel Watch 4 is likely to be announced as well, though rumors suggest it won’t be available to buy until September or even October.
It’s expected to cost $349 to $399, though could be more expensive, and all colors of the watch were recently revealed in another leak.
