The Pixel 10 Pro Fold didn't change too much from its predecessor, but Google got several things right: the foldable has a bigger battery that lasts all day, better ingress protection, and a brighter panel.
However, the problems from previous generations continued; the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is one of the heaviest foldables around, its cameras don't measure up, and the outer panel needs to be of a higher quality. All of that may change with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold; Google is slated to release its 2026 foldable in August, and while there's no confirmation of the same, it's safe to assume that the foldable is releasing with the rest of the Pixel 11 models.
With a launch on the horizon, let's take a look at all the leaks around the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and how the foldable may differ to last year's model. Having used the Pixel 10 Pro Fold extensively alongside the likes of the Find N6, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the Vivo X Fold 5, I'll also talk about what I want to see from Google's foldable in 2026.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Specs
Detailed specs of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold showed up in May 2026, giving us a good look at what Google is planning for its 2026 foldable. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is said to feature the new Tensor G6 platform, which is fabricated on a new 2nm node. The switch to 2nm should deliver much better efficiency, and that is something Google needs.
It should allow the foldable to last longer, and with the battery said to be around 4,800mAh, it looks like Google is shaving the battery a little — possibly to save weight. That said, most of these battery leaks never pan out, so we will need to wait until the Pixel 11 Pro Fold launches to see what kind of battery tech it has.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: New cameras
What I'm most excited about is that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is likely to get new cameras. This is well overdue, as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold just didn't measure up to its foldable rivals in this area; the Find N6 and X Fold 5 run rings around Google's foldable, and there's no doubt that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold needs to do much better just to be able to hold its own against Chinese brands. Thankfully, that may well be the case, and while Google is unlikely to use high-res camera modules, a set of new sensors with better tuning should lead to much better photos, but I'll reserve judgement on that until I get my hands on the device.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Design
Judging by these leaked renders, the design of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be roughly the same as its predecessors. I don't mind that one bit, as I like the design aesthetic that Google carved out for its phones. The only thing I'd like to see is a thinner design that's lighter.
Most foldables made decent headway in this area over the last two years — with even Samsung making an effort with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 — and Google needs to do the same this year. I do like the look of the new camera housing, with the dual visor look much more distinctive this time around.
Google doesn't seem to make any alterations to the inner or outer panel, but I would like to see a slightly wider outer screen. That makes using a device much more comfortable, and I'd like to see at least a 6.5-inch panel.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Release date and pricing
Google moved up the launch of the Pixel 10 models last year, debuting these phones on August 20, 2025. There's no reason to doubt that won't be the case in 2026. With Samsung announcing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 at the end of July and Vivo's X Fold 6 slated to debut globally sometime soon, it's entirely likely that Google will introduce the Pixel 11 Pro Fold — alongside the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL — in August itself. Then again, we'll need to wait until we get confirmation about the same.
While Google released the Pixel 10 Pro Fold in August, the foldable didn't go on sale until October, so it is entirely possible that even if the Pixel 11 Pro Fold breaks cover in August, we may need to wait a little longer to buy the foldable. Of course, there's the price to think about as well; the Pixel 10 Pro Fold debuted at $1,799 last year, and it's likely the Pixel 11 Pro Fold could go up to $1,899 or even $1,999 — the storage crisis is pushing up prices of all tech products.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold continues to be a solid choice if you're ready to switch to a foldable, and with this year's 11 Pro Fold projected to retain a similar feature-set, the best choice would be to buy the 10 Pro Fold while it's on sale.
