Google Maps caught out in hilarious blunder after blurring wrong body part

The team over at Google Maps constantly take photos of roads all over the world to keep their Street View service up to date.

And sometimes people in the area at the time realise what's going on and decide to strike a pose for the cameras.

One man from Liverpool recently decided to have a bit of fun when he noticed the Street View camera car heading his way on Breck Road.

But instead of doing his best blue steel impression, the dog walker decided to pull down his pants and let it all hang out.

Google Maps didn't blur out the man's penis (but we have for the sake of our readers) (@evertonWRLD/Twitter)

A Twitter user named Cal discovered the explicit image of the unknown man while using the mapping service.

He couldn't help but laugh when he noticed that Google had initially blurred the person's face, but left his genitals exposed for all to see.

Cal shared a video of the blunder, captioning it: "Shall we blur out his face? Yes definitely.

"What about his c***? Naa, just leave it."

His post quickly went viral, with over 18,000 people liking it and 5,000 retweets.

Many people commented on the post, having a good laugh at the awkward error.

One person wrote: "I bet that's his Mrs doing the five paces behind skulk so no one thinks he's with her."

Another said: "And the government think that they can block porn."

    A third simply posted: "Classic."

Google Maps users spot something very rude in background of Street View shot

After the attention the post gained, Google soon cottoned on to their mistake.

But instead of censoring the man's genitals, they decided to censor the man alltogether.

Some Twitter users were disappointed to see that the unknown person on Street View was now nothing more than a blur.

Others were more upset that Google had also decided to blur out the man's dog.

"Why they gotta blur the out the dog too," asked one user.

"Well I don't think it was hiding its bits in underwear either," replied someone else.
