Google lists what Irish people searched for the most in 2019

The most searched topic by Irish people on Google this year was The Rugby World Cup.

Punters used the search engine to look-up the sporting event, which saw Ireland crash out in the quarter-final against New Zealand.

Gay Byrne was the second highest trending search term, following the legendary RTE broadcaster's death.

And the not-so Storm Lorenzo was the third most Googled topic of 2019.
