Google launches Doodle to celebrate the start of FIFA World Cup 2022

Google on Sunday celebrated the FIFA World Cup 2022, which begins today (November 20), by launching a Google Doodle.

The competition will start with the first match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. The game will be preceded by the opening ceremony.

On stage, the South Korean singer Jungkook of K-pop boy band BTS will perform the official tournament song called Dreamers, alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi, FIFA said in a statement.

The 2022 World Cup will have 32 teams in eight groups of four:

Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B:

England, Iran, USA, Wales

Group C:

Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia

Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea
