Google is expanding its Commerce Media suite; now, it offers new AI-driven tools that claim to bring more performance insights and better control to both brands and retailers. The new tools are now available in beta across Search Ads 360, Display & Video 360, and Google Ads.
Along with the performance, Max Google Ads now also supports Search, Shopping, and Demand Gen campaigns, further widening access for brands. Meanwhile, marketplaces like Shopee, Rakuten, and Flipkart can now use improved self-serve tools to share product catalogs directly with their brand partners, enhancing collaborative advertising.
Furthermore, in order to expand the off-site reach, the tech giant is bringing retail and commerce media campaigns to YouTube through Display and Video 360, allowing advertisers to run full-fledged video campaigns powered by retail insights.
Another important update is the pilot of product-level measurement, which gives advertisers and retailers the ability to assess how media spend translates into actual sales, and not just by campaign, but by product and category.
Google is also working on ‘Deep Think’ for Gemini 2.5 Pro
On a similar note, Google is also gearing up to launch a new “Deep Think” feature for its Gemini 2.5 Pro model. The feature was initially teased at Google I/O 2025 and is expected to bring extra computing power for complex tasks such as coding, advanced math, and multimodal reasoning.
Benchmark data suggests a 15% improvement in math-related queries when compared to the standard Gemini 2.5 Pro. It’s also expected to perform better in code generation and tasks involving images, text, and other inputs simultaneously, which is something similar to what OpenAI offers with its ChatGPT o3 Pro mode. However, Google has not officially confirmed any such details. So, take this info with a grain of salt.
