Thousands of users across India reported issues accessing Google Search, with many seeing error messages, blank pages, or search results refusing to load properly. According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, complaints spiked sharply around 10:23 AM IST, crossing more than 3,300 reports during the peak of the disruption.
Most complaints were linked directly to Google Search, while several users also reported problems with loading pages and accessing the website itself.
The moment Google began glitching, users rushed to platforms like X and Reddit to check whether the problem was “just them” — only to discover thousands of other people were refreshing their browsers in confusion at the exact same time.
Because when Google crashes, people suddenly realise how much of the internet basically depends on Google working normally.
People posted screenshots showing “server error” messages while memes comparing the outage to a global emergency started flooding timelines within minutes.
For many users, the disruption appeared temporary, though complaints continued to rise rapidly during the peak outage window.
Downdetector data showed:
- 57% of users reported issues with Google Search
- 28% said content was not loading properly
- 11% faced problems with the website itself
As of now, Google has not publicly detailed the exact cause behind the disruption.
The outage may have lasted only a short time for some users.
