Google down: Email system blocks users from accessing

Users of Google and Google Mail have been kicked out of access to documents and viewing emails.

The issue started just before 1.30pm on Thursday October 14.

Google Suite has issues which means people cannot access Sheets, Docs or Google Drive.

A message to users from Google reads: "We are sorry, but you do not have access to Gmail. Please contact your organisation administrator for access."

The website Downdetector which records issues with websites that users report shows a spike in issues with Google from 1pm.

It is common for some problems to be reported throughout the day. But Downdetector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
