Tech giant Google has moved to outlaw another 19 Android apps as millions of users are urged to delete them immediately.
Android device users have been advised to remove the apps from phones or tablets amid safety and security fears.
The offending apps have already downloaded countless times, ExpressOnline reports.
The latest alert has been issued by the team at White Ops Satori Threat Intelligence and Research which discovered the 19 apps capable of filling devices with unwanted and highly-irritating adverts.
This adware was able to take over the moment the device was unlocked and plugged into a charger and was even able to launch the annoying attack whether the infected app was open or not.
Some of the apps were able to hide from users by disappearing the moment they were downloaded.
This scam is often used by hackers as it makes it much harder for people to find and delete the applications from their devices.
Apps investigated in the course of research did not function as advertised and had more than 3.5 million downloads.
