Google has announced Glasgow's top 10 trending searches for 2019.
The internet giant is announcing the results of its 2019 Year in Search – revealing the people, topics, events, and places that captured the world’s attention.
This year Brexit had the people of Glasgow gripped as it scooped the top spot.
It was also a huge year for television dramas, including the controversial final series of Game of Thrones, which saw eight years of the drama series come to a close with an honourable second place in the top trending list.

2019 saw the Rugby World Cup come third in Glasgow’s list. Taking place in Asia for the first time, the tournament was crammed full of incidents as England reached the final in impressive style and Typhoon Hagibis caused unwanted chaos across Japan.
Also in sport, Brendan Rodgers came in fourth – when he was appointed Leicester City's new manager after leaving his job at Celtic.
In October, Todd Phillips’ Joker became the first film in 10 years to top the UK box office for six weeks, earning it the esteemed place of eighth in this year’s list, but beaten by Marvel’s superhero extravaganza Avengers Endgame in sixth and its character Thanos, who came in fifth.
Kirstin Wright, a Google Trends expert said: "The 2019 Year in Search lists not only reveal the most popular trends from the past 12 months, but also give insight into the biggest events in the news, politics, sports, entertainment and even the latest lingo. As people continue to look for information in new and different ways, Google Search keeps evolving to make the world’s information accessible and useful to all.”
Have a look at the lists for the whole of the UK and across pop culture and entertainment.
