One of racing’s most popular festivals takes place this week as the stars of the flat scene head to Glorious Goodwood.
With heavy rain and winds forecast for much of the week, the ‘glorious’ aspect is perhaps a little debatable, but some of the sport’s biggest names, both equine and human are set to take to the track.
Tuesday's opening day saw champion stayer Stradivarius win a third successive Goodwood Cup, while a potential star of the future emerged as Pinatubo bolted up in the Vintage Stakes.
