John Mahoney, heading for London

The latest in the apparently endless queue of American stars lining up to act in London theatre is John Mahoney, best known for his portrayal of Martin Crane in the hugely popular US sitcom Frasier.

Mahoney will take the lead role in the European premiere of David Mamet's Romance at the Almeida Theatre in north London. The production opens in the autumn.
