Goodfella's changes name of pizza after Royal confession

Following the surprising revelation this week that Queen Elizabeth II has never eaten pizza, Goodfella’s has created a bespoke serving for Her Majesty, in a plea for her to try the popular savoury dish.

To honour the Head of State, Goodfella’s has temporarily changed the name of its best-selling Stonebaked Thin Ham & Pineapple pizza with a fitting new title – ‘Ma’am and Pineapple’, as has given the limited-edition a very special royal makeover.

Claire Hoyle, Head of Marketing at Goodfella’s, said: “When we heard the news, we wanted to show some respect by making sure when The Queen gets her first taste of delicious pizza, it will meet her impeccable standards. Our limited-edition ‘Ma'am & Pineapple’ pizza is only be available by Royal request, but we’re confident that it will be a hit with Her Majesty and become a regular fixture on the Bucking-ham Palace menu.”

The Goodfella’s limited-edition comes about as Darren McGrady, The Queen’s former Royal Chef, revealed in an interview with US Weekly that in the 15 years he cooked at Buckingham Palace, Her Royal Majesty was never served pizza.
