Good Samaritan's random act of kindness to emergency vehicle crew at Bingham petrol station

A Good Samaritan has been praised for a random act of kindness at a Nottinghamshire petrol station.

The incident occurred at the Shell petrol station in Bingham just off the A52 Saxondale roundabout on Sunday, January 9.

The Vale and Fosseway Responders crew, who provide medical assistance to people in south Nottinghamshire and north Leicestershire, had stopped at the petrol station to get a coffee.

When they were alerted to another call, a stranger stepped in and helped so they could get away to their next job quickly.

Vale and Fosseway Responders said in a Facebook post: "Yesterday our crew had a busy shift and popped into the Shell petrol station at Bingham for a break.

"As soon as the button was pressed for a coffee, they were alerted to another call.

"A random stranger said that he would pay for the coffee so that they could get on their way. Just like to say a massive thank you to that person and that was definitely his good deed for the day."
