Good samaritan drives home teen after he's attacked by four men

A good samaritan came to the aid of a teenager and drove him home after he was attacked by four men, police said.

Police said an 18-year-old boy was assaulted when walking through Old Rough Park in Kirkby on Sunday morning at 9am.

The teen was approached by four men before he was attacked.

Officers said the victim suffered a minor injury to his face.

After he was attack, a member of the public found him on Roughwood Drive and drove him home.

Pictures from the scene today showed a heavy police presence in the area after the attack, as multiple police cars cordoned off Roughwood Drive.

A spokeswoman for police said: "The victim, who suffered minor injuries to his face, made his way onto Roughwood Drive where he was seen by a member of the public who kindly drove him home.

"Officers attended and the 18-year-old victim was located safe and well with family at a property in Ormskirk.

"Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the incident and who is responsible are ongoing.
