Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford reveals new programme 'Knife Crime & Me'

ITV weatherman Alex Beresford has announced he will present a programme investigating Britain's knife crime crisis, set to air on Thursday (April 25).

Best known as the face of the weather on Good Morning Britain, Alex went viral in early March when he called out presenter Piers Morgan during a heated debate about the knife crime epidemic.

Tragically, his cousin Nathaniel Armstrong was stabbed to death in London just ten days later. Alex payed tribute to him shortly after he died, stating: "Nathaniel was a bright young man with his whole life ahead of him and this tragedy is yet one more example of a needless life lost to knife crime."

Little more than a month later, Alex has announced that he will present an episode of the Tonight programme on ITV, entitled Knife Crime & Me, which will be shown at 7.30pm this Thursday.
