Good Morning Britain viewers spot problem as Susanna Reid fronts September comeback trailer

Good Morning Britain viewers have spotted a problem as ITV shared its latest trailer.

Susanna Reid has taken centre stage at the start of the promo ahead of September when the programme's main hosts come back from their summer holidays.

Lorraine Kelly, Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Dermot O’Leary, Alison Hammond, Charlene White, Ruth Langsford, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams are also among the cast of ITV Daytime who return next month.

As for GMB, Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, Dr Hilary Jones and Laura Tobin all also make the cut in the glossy new ad.

But fans had a lot to say when the clip was shared across social media over the weekend.

"The only way to start your day off right," a tweet began from the official GMB Twitter account.

"September means a new season and the team will be here, leading the conversation and asking the questions you want to know."

Despite not being included, a lot of talk turned to Piers Morgan but left the show back in March.

"I'm surprised that they haven't found a permanent replacement for Piers yet," one viewer said.

Another commented: "Personally I have enjoyed @kategarraway @benshephard @CharlotteHawkns @richardpbacon covering. The show needs a replacement for Piers."

"Sorry you need Piers Morgan!" a third tweeted.

A fourth added: "Susanna is clearly now the only Lead GMB Presenter. Shame they haven't found her a suitable co-host."

"Hoping @richardpbacon is a permanent fixture. After weeks of male presenters trying to be @piersmorgan finally someone with his own personality and very likeable and not cheesy at all," another said.

Since Piers' dramatic exit in March, GMB has seen a raft of guest hosts stepping in alongside Susanna, Kate and Ranvir.

Richard Bacon is the latest to return to the show, following Adil Ray, Richard Madeley and Bill Turnbull.

Alastair Campbell and Martin Lewis also took a go in the hot seat earlier in the year.
