ITV viewers were left cringing after Richard Madeley had an awkward conversation with a reality TV star about his weight.
Fans accused the Good Morning Britain host of "fat shaming" Arg, who entered the public eye on The Only Way of Essex (TOWIE).
The 31-year-old was stepping in to present the entertainment news when the topic of his weight came up, Devon Live reports.
And viewers weren't happy when Richard continued to ask Arg about it - even saying he was "worried about his health" and asking him "what he was going to do about it".
The conversation started when Arg said: "I’ve noticed since I’ve turned 30 it’s harder for me. Usually I can get it off really quickly and now it’s proper hard work."
Richard then asked: "Have you always had a bit of a struggle with your weight?"
"Always gone up and down. There’s times when I’ve been really slim and healthy," Arg answered.
When he was asked if this is the biggest he’s been, the TOWIE star said: "No this is the heaviest I’ve ever been."
"What are you going to do about it? ‘I know you’re swimming the English Channel," Richard asked.
Arg said: "I’ve kickstarted my weight loss journey and my healthy lifestyle. Obviously the Sink Or Swim, swimming the channel, has been perfect timing for me, and hopefully this will be the start and I’ll be making some big changes."
And viewers really weren't happy when the segment ended and Richard said: "You’re one of those lucky guys, you’re still very good looking.
"You’re a good looking guy and the weight thing doesn’t get in the way. But I just worry about your health, you know."
Disgruntled people took to Twitter to share their distaste.
One viewer said: "Jesus @richardm56 Way to turn it personal and rude to @RealJamesArgent about his weight. Wasn’t your concern to go in on him like that when he was just doing his job Nasty"
Another said: "Richard Madeley has been full on body shaming Arg just now!"
And someone tweeted: "That was a bit awkward. Good recovery from RM throwing in the compliment"
