Good Morning Britain under fire as viewers make same point about presenters

Good Morning Britain viewers questioned whether there was tension during today's programme.

This morning's edition of the ITV programme was anchored by Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins as they covered the latest news stories of the day.

The line-up of the breakfast news show is currently rotating between a mix of guest hosts.

Susanna Reid took to Instagram to state that she is taking a short break from the programme for the summer while broadcaster Richard Bacon is set to return to host later this week.

The 45-year-old will anchor with Charlotte Hawkins on Wednesday and Kate Garraway for the rest of the week.

But fans of the show thought they could spot tension between the two presenters of today's show.

Viewers took to Twitter to claim that they thought the hosts were talking over one another.

Jess said: "Kate Garraway absolutely livid that Charlotte Hawkins keeps talking over her."

David tweeted: "c’mon Kate let others speak"

Katie added: "Is today’s episode of #GMB ‘who can shout the loudest?’ I think Charlotte is winning over Kate."

Kyle said: "This pair keep talking over each other"

Gavin said: "You watch Charlotte's, face when Kate, speaks over her. It's priceless!"

*GMB continues at 6am on ITV and ITVHub tomorrow
