Good Morning Britain's Takeaway dare blindsides fans as Ben & Susanna revealed as victims of prank

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers claimed they were blindsided by the fact that Good Morning Britain fell victim to a prank as the truth was finally revealed about Monday's ITV chaos.

People watching Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women earlier this week were sharp to point the finger at Ant and Dec for the strange goings on on each programme, with Lorraine Kelly telling guest KSI that she wished he was in the studio to help her with cramp in her leg; Holly Willoughby saying she was "bursting for a wee" on This Morning and Loose Women's Judi Love shouting that their were mice in the studio.

Many assumed that all three shows were being invaded for Ant and Dec's latest I'm A Celebrity Get out Of Me Ear but on Saturday night, it was unearthed that it was actually their Takeaway co-star Stephen Mulhern who was behind the high jinks as he challenged all the hosts to read out certain words live on air in his On Air Dares prank.

But the big revelation for many fans of the show was the fact that GMB presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard were also targeted by Stephen.

Host Ben warned Stephen that "your actions and phrases don't tend to be the sort of things we do on breakfast telly," but he and Susanna got on board with the dares which led to Ben dropping the phrase 'oh no girlfriend' into the broadcast when talking about watching Line of Duty before saying he didn't want any "Susanna bananas" in another link.

However, they refused to follow Stephen's instruction to 'pretend someone has farted.'

And viewers couldn't believe they failed to pick up on what was happening behind the scenes.

Taking to Twitter during Saturday Night Takeaway, one tweeted: "The fact that @StephenMulhern managed to invade ITV daytime telly. I honestly thought that @GMB bit was them actually talking! "

Another oblivious viewer reacted: "Omfg @benshephard acting like an idiot of GMB makes so much sense now #SaturdayNightTakeway...... how did we as nation not cop on that every morning" and a third was happy to admit: "I actually never notices on GMB Monday lmao and it's so funny now"
