Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has emotionally paid tribute to her co-star Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper.
Derek is currently in intensive care as he battles Covid-19.
Kate's representative confirmed the news on Friday, revealing that the presenter hadn't been allowed to visit Derek to avoid catching the virus herself.
Susanna said on GMB: "Before we carry on, I know I speak for all of our team and all of our viewers when we send our love to Kate Garraway and her husband Derek Draper.
"We send him every ounce of strength as he recovers from coronavirus and love to her family.
"We thank all the NHS workers working so hard at the moment treating those who are suffering the virus."
Co-host Piers then added: "It's coming home to everyone, everyone's been touched by this… this is something that affects all of us around the world. we've never had anything like this."
"It's agonising for everybody involved.
"We wish everybody the best, fingers crossed everything turns out ok."
A rep for Kate said: "Kate's husband, Derek Draper, has been taken to hospital and is being treated in intensive care with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
"He was admitted on Monday and has since tested positive for the virus. Kate, hasn't been tested, however she has also been displaying mild symptoms, also since Monday, and as a result has been on strict isolation with her children at home."
