Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid celebrates ratings win after 'confronting' bosses of ITV show

Susanna Reid has publicly celebrated a ratings success for Good Morning Britain, after she reported to have 'confronted' her bosses on Good Morning Britain, after a series of embarrassing live blunders on the ITV show.

Susanna has now been an anchor on the breakfast programme for over seven years, famously partnering Piers Morgan for many of them, before his stormy exit from the show in 2021, after storming off the set. Since his tumultuous departure, Susanna has fronted GMB with a number of different presenters including Adil Ray, Ed Balls and Richard Madeley.

And this week, viewers have been delighted to see her team up with long standing colleague and Tipping Point star Ben Shephard. However, with the vibe between them in the studio is very upbeat, it's been claimed that a frustrated Susanna has been voicing her frustrations backstage, after a number of errors on air.

The latest came on Monday morning, when the GMB voiceover told viewers at home that it was Friday, February 3, when it was of course, in fact, Monday, February 6., with Ben remarking: "It's confusing everybody quite frankly, me as well."

The gaffe at the start of this week came after claims Susanna had taken GMB execs to task after other errors on the show including spelling remembering wrong in a feature on somebody's death; the wrong date appearing on screen and correspondent Ben Chapma's name being spelled incorrectly las Ben Champan..

A source told The Sun: "She made her feelings very clear, and confronted the senior executives over it."

The reports about Susanna's frustration comes after she publicly celebrated GMB's ratings success on Twitter. Posting on February 3, she wrote: "RATINGS: terrific figures for yesterday’s @gmb (and a great week) highest Thursday numbers since June 2021, up 9% and +3.8 share points against the same day last year. We love that you are watching."
