Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh calls Kate Garraway a 'brave honest strong soul'

Ranvir Singh lavished Kate Garraway with love after spotting her colleague on the front cover of a magazine.

The Good Morning Britain star called her a "brave honest strong soul and a friend" after seeing her on the cover of Good Housekeeping in her local shop.

She said she was "in awe of and full of love for @kategarraway".

Ranvir is proud of how her pal has dealt with husband Derek Draper 's Covid-19 battle.

Derek, 53, was hospitalised in March last year after contracting coronavirus and was put into an induced coma, which he woke from in July.

Strictly's Ranvir couldn't help but post the front page of the mag on Instagram after seeing her co-star on the shelf.

Kate has spoken at length about her traumatic 10 months after Derek was struck down at the start of the pandemic.

The GMB host has been forced to endure the toughest year of her life as she continued to care for their two children whilst working on the ITV show and Heart Radio.

Ranvir gave her another little boost, tagging her friend on the Instagram Story as she popped out for a walk.

Inside the publication, Kate revealed that her stint on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 helped prepared her for his coma battle.

"Forcing myself to do frightening things in the jungle was definitely good for my soul, and it made me believe I could do things I never dreamed possible," she said.

"And flippin’ heck! I’ve had to put that knowledge into practice, haven’t I? So actually, maybe the jungle prepared me for getting through this."

When quizzed on how it's been taking care of her daughter Darcey and son Billy while Derek is away, Kate admitted that the experience has been very "hard".

"I’m not sure I am coping! I honestly don’t know how single mums do it; it’s just so hard," she added.

"A lot of the time I find myself thinking, 'What would Derek say?' and 'What would Derek do?'"
