Martin Lewis has been praised by Good Morning Britain viewers as he made a brief return to the show.
The Money Saving Expert - awarded a CBE in the New Year's Honours List - has recently been a guest host on the ITV news programme
But he appeared today via video link to talk to Susanna Reid and Richard Bacon.
He was speaking about rising energy costs and continued his calls for the government to take action.

The Government’s energy price cap is due to be revised in February, with the increase put onto customers’ bills from April.
Predictions have so far suggested that the price gap is to rise by 51 percent.
"This means that for someone with typical bills, it will go from £1,277 a year to £1,925 a year," Martin said on the show.
"Everyone else is on the same region, between 45 and 55 percent increase. That is due to happen on April 1, so £600 a year increase on energy bills."
He then went on to talk about the risk of fuel poverty.

"I have been calling on the government, it has to intervene, it has to do something," Martin said.
"There are lots of people out there who can afford the increase and won’t like it, but there are also millions of people who will be thrown into fuel poverty, who ill get close to having that choice between heating and eating."
Martin added: "The government for too long has had blanket solutions on what it does in the energy market and I’m afraid it’s always gone from market-based solutions.
"I can tell the government now; we know now what is coming in April. Don’t say in April, 'Oh, we didn’t have time to do anything'
"You have time, you have ability, you have to look at intervening… what we have to do is make sure the millions of people who do not have enough income to pay a £600 rise on energy bills at a typical rate get the money, so they don’t have to turn the heating off or the electricity off or starve."
GMB viewers were soon taking to Twitter to praise the financial expert.
@ThatTrudy said: "Martin is a national hero. The Govt need to address this rapido!!"
"@GMB Martin Lewis was amazing this morning.
