Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway loses off screen battle to co-host Ben Shephard

Kate Garraway lost out to co-host Ben Shephard in a fiercely contested battle in the Good Morning Britain studio on Friday, which happened behind the scenes, but was then shared with viewers.

At the end of another week for the ITV breakfast show, many viewers' preferred presenting duo joined forces to host the programme and things took a rather competitive turn, when they were joined in the studio by boxing legend RIcky Hatton and his son Campbell. As the pair appeared to chat to Kate and Ben, a boxing machine, the kind that you see people having a go on in late night takeaways, was brought into position so they could take each on.

However, after the father and son duo battled with each other to land the highest score, Ben and Kate shocked colleague Charlotte Hawkins by stepping up to take each other on. And, unfortunately for Kate, it was Ben who earned a convincing victory, getting a score of 781.

Footage of them both having a go on the machine was eventually shown to viewers and despite his impressive score, Ben told Kate that he should have used his other hand, before asking to find out how she had got on. Kate was promptly shown taking her turn, after quipping: "I did brilliantly," but only scored 79, as Ricky could be seen chuckling next to her.

Watching the video back, Kate remarked: "It's the fact that Ricky just burst into laughter before he'd even seen the numbers." The former I'm A Celebrity contestant did get another go to try and better her score, with Ben telling her: "It strikes me that this isn't the kind of thing you did growing up in the green hills of Oxfordshire," as Kate replied: "No, no...I've never thrown a punch in my life!"

Kate did improve second time round, with her second punch g4etting her a score of 159, as she reacted: "I'm a lover not a fighter!" She then revealed that GMB Andi Peters also had a crack, with a clip of his effort and score of 584 flashed up on screen.
