Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway in on-air blunder as she introduces K-pop band 'Monsta X' as 'Monster's Inc

Kate Garraway made a hilarious on-air blunder when she confused brand new K-Pop sensations with an animated Pixar film.

The Good Morning Britain presenter was attempting to introduce seven-member boy band Monsta X as they made their debut on the ITV show.

Before the South Korean pop stars about to make their entrance, Kate made a major mix-up.

As fans flocked to wait outside the London studios to catch a glimpse of Monsta X, Kate's co-star Susanna Reid said: "They're very excited, as are we."

As the camera filmed the gathering group, the girls were heard shouting "we love you" to the boys.

As co-host's Susanna and Ben Shepherd questioned if the outpouring of affection was for themselves, Kate said: "I don’t think they mean you, I think they mean K-pop."

'Yeah, Monsters Inc.' (ITV)

The 52-year-old was then corrected by a puzzled Ben who said: "Monsta X?"

Kate then agreed, but then actually replied: "Yeah, Monsters Inc."

Of course, Monsters Inc is the Pixar movie which centers on two monsters, Sulley and Mike Wazowski.

The panel then couldn't help but giggle at the mix-up.

Clearly mortified at her mistake, Kate tried to blame Ben by admitting that she told him just moments earlier that she feared she might mess it up.

Continuing to wind-up his ITV pal, Ben kept referring to the popular group as  "Monsters X" instead of Monsta X.

Mosta X are the newest K-pop band set for super stardom after hitting the mainstream last year thank to their debut EP 'Trespass'.

The group, made up of  Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hungwon, Joohoney and I.M, played London’s SSE Arena in Wembley on Tuesday (July 9) to a packed out crowd.
