Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway hints to Adil Ray she'll be sharing good news

Kate Garraway has hinted positive news could be on the way.

The Good Morning Britain Host said there was "a lot of good news" at the moment, ahead of tomorrow's show.

The 53-year-old will be joined by Adil Ray to present the show as co-start Ben Shephard takes some time off.

On Mondays, Kate often updates viewers on how her husband Derek Draper's condition in hospital.

Adil had written on Instagram that he would want to give Kate a "big Bloomin' hug" when he sees her on the programme tomorrow and asked for suggestions on "how the heck" he could do that.

In response, Kate wrote: "Well saved @adilray - think hugs are out but we can recreate a socially distanced version of this slightly demented selfie - will that do you!?!

"Looking forward to seeing you and everyone on @gmb tomorrow. All the news you need - and there’s a lot of it right now - and some smiles because we all need that too right now don’t we ..."

Kate has been open with the tough battle her husband has faced since entering intensive care during March, after being diagnosed with coronavirus.

Speaking on GMB last week, Kate said that Derek, 52, was now receiving therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE),the Mirror reports.

Kate also revealed that her children had visited their grandparents for the first time since the pandemic.
