Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford makes cheeky joke after getting Covid-19 jab

Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford has received his Covid-19 vaccination.

The Bristol-born weatherman has now had the jab which will help protect him against coronavirus as part of a national roll-out for people aged between 40 and 49.

This follows the over-50s receiving the vaccine from the Government.

Alex, 40, took to social media to share a picture of himself getting the jab with a cheeky message.

Alex said on Twitter: "I know I don’t look old enough...completed it!"

The positive message was followed by a series of explosive emoticons, signalling Alex''s relief at finally getting the jab.

Alex appears to be have taken precautions to stay safe in the picture as he and the medic administering the vaccine are wearing face masks.

Alex won fans on GMB after rowing with former presenter Piers Morgan, 55, about allegations made by Meghan Markle about the Royal family.

The row ended with 55-year-old presenter tearing off his microphone and walking out live on air. Piers resigned shortly after.

Since then, Alex has continued to appear on GMB while also finding fans in America. He has featured on The Wendy Williams Show and in the New York Times and LA Times.
