Alex Beresford is set to say "I do" after girlfriend Imogen McKay agreed to become his wife.
The Good Morning Britain weather presenter, 41, revealed he popped the question to the 29-year-old in a romantic setting while on holiday in Majorca over new year.
And he was delighted to announce his new fiancee was chuffed to say "yes" after his romantic gesture.
The pair, who first met via a mutual friend, hit it off from the start after being set up on a blind date.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, Alex confessed that prior to meeting his new wife-to-be, he had been single for some time but didn't want to try dating websites.
He said: "I' m of an age where before social media, you met a girl, took her phone number and called to invite her out."
And he confessed that originally his pal joked that Imogen would be "too good for you" and that is what made him want their date organised.
Alex gushed how they hit it off straight away when they first dated in August 2020 and shared similar values and goals.
Imogen, who was raised in Australia and now work in e-commerce in London admitted she didn't know who the presenter was at first but also happily described how well their opening date went.
At the start the pair continued dating long distance and regularly travelled to see each other in Bristol and London.
Alex went on to describe the "amazing moment" he stunned his partner by popping the question on New Year's Day as they walked along a Majorcan beach.
He said: "The weather was sunny and warm, and the sea was crystal clear. "This is it," I thought.
"Imogen's not one for taking photos, but as I persuaded her to pose for a picture overlooking the sea, I kneeled down to take the engagement ring I'd hidden inside my rucksack.
"When she turned around, I was on one knee, and asked her the biggest question of my life - and she said yes. It was an amazing moment."
They now are planning to return to the setting to tie the knot in September in front of around 100 guests.
Alex's 12-year-old son Cruz, whom he shares with ex-wife Natalia Natkaniec, is to act as ring bearer and best man on the big day.
