Good Morning Britain has remembered all those who have died with Covid-19 in the UK as the country's total number of fatalities surpassed 100,000.
Presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Wednesday morning read out the names of some of those who passed away with the deadly disease.
"We've passed a horrendous milestone in this country," said Mr Morgan. "100,000 people have now died in the UK".
Ms Reid added: "This morning we pay tribute to all of those who have died and to those who have been left behind."
The two broadcasters then paid tribute to all those who have died and their families.
It comes after the UK reached the grim milestone of 100,000 Covid-19 fatalities and now has one of the highest deaths rates in the world.
At a Downing Street press conference on Tuesday evening, prime minister Boris Johnson said he was "deeply sorry" at the loss of life.
But some experts have criticised the goverment over its handling of the pandemic, saying ministers could have done more to prevent mass deaths.
"This was absolutely avoidable," professor Stephen Griffin, a virologist at the University of Leeds, told The Independent.
"You can't be reactive in a pandemic, you have to be proactive and act ahead of the curve. We’ve repeatedly failed in this sense."
Ministers had previously been criticised for not making decisions on lockdowns and restrictions on travel quickly enough.
The government insists it has been following the science throughout the pandemic.
