Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan 'screams' as tiny mouse causes chaos in studio

The Good Morning Britain studio was thrown into chaos after a tiny mouse was spotted scurrying around.

Piers Morgan broke the news of the rodent’s sighting to viewers on this morning’s show.

The 55-year-old presenter said that it had terrorised a number of crew members during the ad break.

He went as far as to mock weather presenter Laura Tobin and political editor Ranvir Singh for screaming as they caught a glimpse of the unwelcome guest, reports the Mirror.

Piers squealed as he mocked Laura and Ranvir (ITV)

Piers told viewers: “Dramatic breaking news: there is a mouse on the studio floor. There have been shrieks, wails and a lot of drama during the commercial break.

“It is hiding under one of the cameras, we just don’t know which one.”

He laughed: "Ranvir, you're terrified of mice, how can you be scared of a mouse?!"

Ranvir replied uneasily: "I don't like it, Laura screamed and I saw it scurrying around, I had one in my house once.”

"She went, ARGH, mouse!" screamed Piers as he mocked Ranvir's terrified reaction.

"It feels like a crocodile has arrived on set!" he added.

The mouse eventually came out from its hiding place under the camera, and ran around the studio where one of the cameras was able to capture it.

The hosts agreed the mouse was in fact rather cute, but Piers had some cheeky nicknames for it.

At first he called it Dan Walker, BBC Breakfast presenter and Piers' nemesis.

But as the mouse escaped from the GMB set and ran into the This Morning studio, Piers decided it should be called Boris Johnson instead.

This is because the Prime Minister has been boycotting GMB, choosing instead to appear on This Morning where he faced a softer interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
