The first preview of Kate Garraway's ITV documentary Finding Derek has been released.
She announced the documentary will air on ITV next Tuesday on today's episode of Good Morning Britain.
The programme will explore Kate's family's grief and traumatic calendar year, as the first anniversary of Derek's illness arrives.
Derek, the former Labour Party advisor, was rushed to hospital with Covid last year, Birmingham Mail reports.
He was hospitalised with the deadly bug in late March, during the first wave of the pandemic, before entering a coma on April 5.
Kate has regularly updated GMB viewers over Derek's condition during sobering conversations with co-stars Ben Shephard, Adil Ray, Ranvir Singh, Charlotte Hawkins and Dr Hilary Jones, as well as Piers Morgan before his dramatic departure from the show.
Viewers see Kate look solemn on her sofa, scrolling through her phone at images of her beloved husband.
"Derek is the sickest person this team of doctors have treated that has lived," Kate tells the cameras.
"Is he going to come back? Will he be alive but no longer the person he was?"
The voiceover then concludes the teaser trailer, telling ITV viewers the documentary on Derek is coming soon to broadcast.
