Good Morning Britain: Kate Garraway's collar causes a stir among viewers as fans liken look to 'Spongebob'

Good Morning Britain viewers have been left divided over Kate Garraway's collar on Good Morning Britain.

The ITV presenter's vibrant and extravagant collar has caused quite the stir on Friday's morning's programme as fans likened the look to 'Spongebob'.

Adorning in a floral-patterned dress, Kate's look was a dark blue or purple colour with pink and yellow prints.

However, it was her bright yellow and red collar that drew the most attention from fans, as she herself confessed the collar was "loud" and was to blame for her interrupting show guests.

Co-presenters Ben Shepherd and Richard Arnold soon weighed in - as did Kate herself - becoming the running joke of the programme.

Reading out some of the comments, Ben said: "I think everyone's still a little quiver because of Kate's collar, which is still making a splash."

He continued: "Lyndon says 'loving the pizza slices around Kate's neck'".

Fans of the show took to Twitter on Friday morning to share their feelings over Kate's colourful collar.

Continuing, Ben read aloud: "I thought Mrs Tumble was presenting GMB this morning," Ben quipped: "Does SpongeBob want them back?"

One viewer @mouseymitch further fuelled the fire with other lookalikes to the presenter: "Why is Kate Garraway dressed as Austin Powers this morning? I can’t cope."

The comments had all three hosts laughing hysterically, although fans did have some compliments for Kate.

@amandaleary4 commented: "i [sic] love Kate whatever she wears, shes a breath of fresh air and she looks lovely :)."

While @Joswift19: "It’s certainly brightened up the morning. Good on you for being confident to wear it."

Good Morning Britain is on ITV weekdays from 6am until 9pm.
