Good Morning Britain in hot water as viewers slam coverage on today's show

Fans of Good Morning Britain were furious after today's show was dominated by news from the Olympics.

The latest edition of the ITV news programme was hosted by Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway - and the news often centred around Team GB's impressive performance in the Tokyo Olympics.

The Tipping Point presenter revealed the performances had brought him to tears once again after he admitted yesterday to being overwhelmed with emotion while watching Team GB's triumph in the sailing.

Segments on today's show hailed the success of the 13-year-old skating sensation Sky Brown, who became Britain's youngest ever UK medal winner.

Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway also interviewed the triumphant Olympian Keely Hodgkinson who won a silver medal in the Women's 800m silver.

However, not all fans were impressed by the Olympics coverage and took to Twitter to air their viewers.

One said: "None stop Olympics talk so @GMB turned off yet again. One way to lose viewers. #GMB"

Another tweeted: "Just turned on #GMB Olympics, Olympics, Olympics...".

A third added: "@GMB I give up, News about the Olympics is not "Breaking News", can you please tell your presenters to save that for real news. One more time and i am no longer watching."
