Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan slams journalist who believes homosexuality is a "sin" and "a choice"

Piers Morgan slammed a guest on Good Morning Britain today, after he stated that being gay is a "sin" and a "choice."

Dilly Hussain appeared on the show to speak about a situation in Birmingham schools where parents have removed their children because they we're being taught about gay relationships.

Dilly said the parents had removed their children because of a lack of consultation, lack of communication and transparency.

But Piers argued it was because the families were Muslim and against homosexuality.

Piers said: "Muslim parents think being gay is inherently wrong, they think that homosexuality is a sin."

Dilly agreed that it was a sin but that it "doesn't mean we cant co-exist in peace."

But Piers said the parents actions were driven by homophobia which is an aggressive action.

Piers continued: "You're happy for children to go to mosques and hear teaching about homosexuality, but not in schools.

"In a mosque teaching about homosexuality would be a negative and homophobic experience.

The debate raged on GMB (ITV)

"I'm not attacking your faith, but a bedrock of the faith is teaching that homosexuality being a sin, that doesn't reflect the liberal nature of this country.

"The fear underpinning it is homophobia."

Piers asked Dilly if he thought being gay was a choice or if people were born gay and Dilly said he believed it was a choice.

Which sent Piers into a rant saying: "We're meant to be a tolerant country, we're not in Islamabad - in Britain homosexuality is accepted."

Sir Michael Wilshaw, a former head of Ofsted, also condemned what had been happening at the school.

He said: "It's an outstanding school, the protests are unacceptable, Ofsted went in and found that the teaching materials are entirely appropriate.

"Schools have a job to help children cope in modern Britain and to teach children tolerance.

"I hope the curriculum is reinstated and hope they are supported by the authorities."
