Charlotte Hawkins was far from chuffed with her Good Morning Britain co-host Adil Ray as they presented the show together on Bank Holiday Monday, according to The Mirror.
The pair began to present the ITV breakfast show at 6:30am and it was not long before the conversation shifted to Charlotte's reportedly 'posh' accent.
Charlotte spoke about enjoying the sunny Bank Holiday weekend, but the mum-of-one also confided that it was hard for her to hear people talking about enjoying their Sunday evening when she knew she had to get up early on Monday morning.
46-year-old Charlotte went on to say: "I went out on Saturday night for the first time in however long, so that was a nice experience."
Her fellow presenter Adil was quick to respond: "And who were you with? Lady Chatterly?" before mocking her and speaking in a posh accent.
"It's just not true, I don't know where you've got this impression of me!" Charlotte responded.
But Adil didn't stop there and continued to mock her as he imitated her comment and said: "I don't know where you've got that impression of me!"
"No, but that's judging me on my accent," Charlotte then said, looking rather annoyed.
"Just because I grew up in Sussex, I speak like this," she added, to which 47-year-old Adil said: "Yeah but you like classical music, it all sort of fits into place..."
However, Charlotte still refused to understand his point and said: "Yeah but that doesn't mean I'm part of the nobility does it?"
Attempting to diffuse the situation, GMB host Sean Fletcher then joked: "You do know you've got two and half hours to go together?"
"I know, this is not a good start," Charlotte replied, as Adil butted in: "It's a compliment!"
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
