Good Morning Britain guest who looks '70' floors fans with his age

The age of a Good Morning Britain guest who appeared on this morning's show has left fans floored.

WW2 veteran, Colin Bell appeared on the show to tell his fascinating tales from the war but fans were distracted when he revealed his age.

Colin, who was part of the RAF Elite Force as a Pathfinder, which is a skilled Pilot and Navigator revealed to presenters, Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Bacon that he's actually 100, leaving both the presenters and viewers of today's show in shock.

Many fans took to Twitter to comment on Colin's revelation, with one viewer, @stesmithy48 saying: "Colin Bell, a true hero. Looks like he could still fight the Luftwaffe at 100. #gmb" and another shocked fan, @Chelsea24715735 said: "Colin Bell is 100?? Wow!! #gmb."

GMB viewer, @Fibutton also expressed her shock on Twitter and added: "They don't make them like Colin Bell any more. 100 years old ex-squadron leader looking age 70 and with a mind still as sharp as a tack. Recalling some great memories from his time as a pilot in WW2, incredibly interesting to hear. #gmb."

The 100-year-old veteran also spoke about the fact that he doesn't consider himself a hero when people call him one.

He said: "I don't consider myself a hero. The real heroes were the chaps who flew the heavy bombers."

GMB presenter, Charlotte Hawkins then replied to him saying: "Well we consider you as a hero."

Back in February 2019, Colin received his Royal Air Force Pilots wings at a ceremony held at Royal Air Force in Linton-on-Ouse, for his services in the war.

During his operational tours, he carried out 50 bombing raids over Germany, with 13 of them over Berlin and he describes his experiences as 'close shaves', after nearly loosing his life a number of times.
