Good lord, what happened Friday night at Invicta FC: Phoenix Series 3? If you didn’t know any better, you’d think a murder took place inside the cage.
That’s because Julija Stoliarenko and Lisa Verzosa fought what had to be the bloodiest fight in Invicta FC history, with Stoliarenko winning a split decision to claim the promotion’s bantamweight title.
The five-round battle yielded some incredible images shot by veteran MMA photographer and good friend of MMA Junkie, Dave Mandel. Just look at these pictures:
And just in case you needed a closer, cleaned-up look at how gnarly Verzosa’s facial gashes were, well here she is looking like she just survived a real-life version of “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”:
