It's Good Friday and a lot of people will be heading to the shops to get some last minute Easter shopping in.
Pubs are closed, restaurants are closed, even churches are closed but the supermarkets are still open and providing people with that essential service.
As Good Friday is a national holiday the supermarkets occasionally operate with different opening hours.
We have listed all the opening hours for the main supermarkets on Good Friday below but you can get hours for the entire weekend here.
Good Friday supermarket opening hours
Aldi
Aldi’s stores will be open from 9am-8pm Monday to Saturday this week. All stores will close on Easter Sunday.

Good Friday 10 Apr - 9am-8pm.
Tesco
Tesco stores all vary so you will have to go and see what your nearest store is saying.

Supervalu are in the same boat and all their stores operate independently and decide their own times.

Dunnes Stores
Again there is no uniform code for how each store will operate.
McDonagh Junction's Dunnes Stores in Kilkenny for example was closed Easter Sunday on but will be open from 10am to 7pm on Easter Monday.
