MEMPHIS, Tenn. _ The Kings established a new season low for points allowed in a quarter when they held the Memphis Grizzlies to 10 in the second, but their defense was otherwise lacking in a 106-88 loss Friday night at FedExForum.
The Kings (13-32) have lost seven straight, matching their longest losing streak of the season, and 10 of their last 11.
Dillon Brooks led the Grizzlies (16-28) with a career-high 22 points. Former King Ben McLemore had a season-high 21 points.
De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 16 points and six assists.
Brooks, a rookie from Oregon, was the latest player to benefit from the Kings' charitable defense. He entered the game averaging 7.9 points and scored 18 through three quarters.
With Frank Mason III still out with a heel injury and George Hill one of the veterans resting, Fox was the only point guard playing for the Kings. That left Garrett Temple and Bogdan Bogdanovic as options behind Fox at the point, but it's the primary position for neither.
Juggling minutes at the position will not help the recent turnover problems, either. The Kings had 21 turnovers, while the Grizzlies had 13.
