Good Counsel coach Cathal Pairceir nominated for Most Inspirational Camogie Coach prize

A Dublin camogie coach is up for the Most Inspirational Camogie Coach prize - and you can help him win.

Cathal Pairceir of Good Counsel is nominated alongside four other coaches for the prestigious award.

Cathal is the only representative from Leinster nominated for the award, alongside Charlotte Brenner Snr of De La Salle, Waterford, Peter Doherty of Edendork, Tyrone, Anne Costello of Bredagh GAC, Belfast, and Aideen McCormack of Banner Camogie, Ennis, Co Clare.

The top two coaches with the most votes will compete at half-time of the  All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final with a prize of €7000 on the line.

Cathal was nominated because; "He clears the bench. Regardless of age, ability, size everyone gets to play a part.

"He has transformed the lives of all the kids. He gives so much and teaches all the correct things about the game. Respect, inclusivity, discipline.

"I have never heard him raise his voice at a game. A true gentleman and an inspiration."

You can vote for Cathal by going to the RTE website and voting in the online poll, which you can access by clicking here.
