Gonzalo Higuain opens up on Eden Hazard's desire to move to Real Madrid

Gonzalo Higuain has suggested Eden Hazard has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid .

Hazard has emerged as Real's No.1 summer transfer target following Zinedine Zidane's return to the Bernabeu.

He was asked about the interest after scoring twice against West Ham , where Hammers fans sang that he was on his way to the Bernabeu.

"They are wrong. For now, I am just focusing on Chelsea until the end of the season. We still have a lot to do and then we will see," the Belgian said.

Higuain, whose own future is unclear, admits it will be a struggle to keep Hazard at Stamford Bridge.

"Those are things that involve the club executives and the desire of the player," the Argentine told ESPN FC.

"When a player has a desire, it is difficult to change his mind.

"He is one of the best [in the world]. It is obvious that, when he is at this level, he gives you points, he gives you goals and the truth is that it is a great asset to have him with us.

"Here what matters is Eden's decision and the decision of the board. I cannot do anything.

"He has not asked me [about life in Madrid] but if it's what makes him happy, I wish him the best. I hope he can stay."

Higuain joined Chelsea on a six-month loan deal in January with the view to a permanent transfer and he has made no secret of his wish to stay in west London.

But Chelsea are set to banned from signing any new players for the next two windows, which would force Higuain to return to Juventus .

"I’m happy here. It’s always nice to try a new league and it’s my first taste of the Premier League," the striker said.

"I came here and I wanted to stay. It’s a good city, you live well and you can be relaxed but also enjoy yourself."
